Project 365 {365/082}

After weeks of loose teeth, Evan finally lost one! It's a funny story. We were standing in line at Starbucks while visiting my brother and his family in Sacramento and I turned around to check on Evan who was sitting down on some stools. Right then his hand went to his mouth and after a tiny wiggle, out it popped! I hurried out of line and made sure he didn't drop and lose it. I was so excited laughing and saying 'Yay!' to Evan that I forgot what I was going to order! The barista helping us thought it was cool and offered us a bag and some tape to hold the tooth. It was exciting for this mama!

We spent the afternoon at the park today and the grassy areas were filled with dandelions. Both Evan and Morgan enjoyed picking them and blowing on them, 'making wishes'.

Today I was relaxing on the couch watching some People's Court when I looked over my shoulder into the kitchen and saw Missy chatting it up with her stuffed pup. So sweet!

Project 365
{365/077}

With the weather being warmer lately, we've been playing outside in the front in the evenings. Even though I'm usually a cooler weather type of gal, I've really been enjoying the sunshine and warmth. Welcome spring!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We celebrated with dressing up in green and having a fun dinner at Red Robin. We finished up the day with a molten cake from Chili's. Yum-O.

Evan and I tried to get Morgan to sit here with him for just a quick shot. She wasn't at all cooperative. Evan was highly annoyed as seen in his limited expression here.

But running around outside is always fun!

Another photo taken on a different day.

We went for a rainy walk on this day looking for giant puddles to jump into. To our disappointment, we only found small shallow puddles except for the giant one right in front of our house. Morgan seemed to enjoy all the splashing and I enjoyed dressing her up for the occasion. Don't you just love mixing colors and patterns like I do?!

Project 365
{365/074}

Today was another day without a photo. I was out of town hooping it up with some girlfriends so I'll provide today with a photo taken on a different day.

Little sis got some new Dr. Seuss books for her birthday. Target had a great sale on these books a couple weeks ago so I just couldn't pass them up. She seems to enjoy them for the limited amount of time she'll sit still!

We picked up a fun new book at Target the other day. It's interactive and silly so both dad and I enjoy reading it to the kiddos. Tonight, daddy and Morgan had their turn. It was cute to watch.

Project 365
{365/072}

Today was the first day I missed a photo. While it's disappointing, I know it's just not realistic (at least in my world) to capture a photo each and every day for 365 consecutive days. But not to fear! I usually take a few different shots every other day so I have back up!

This day, I thought it was so cute when I saw Morgan looking out the window at the front door. I just so happened to have my camera in hand already so the moment was perfect.

Meal time is hit or miss nowadays so it's almost a party when little miss eats what's in front of her. I had to photograph the event. :)

Project 365
{365/070}

On a whim this evening, I decided to take a sunset photo. Evan was already in his pj's and ready for bed but I managed to coax him away from his evening video game playing with a treat if he helped me with my project. We left the house with Evan still in his jammies and drove up to a popular neighborhood hill overlooking the city. We made it just in time to get a gorgeous shot of the setting sun and the deep blue sky.

Project 365

This week my goal is to get Evan to complete his homework before dad gets home so today we started it after nap time. Missy joined us and colored her own masterpiece but took a small break to check out what big brother was working on.

Project 365 {365/068}

Project 365
{365/068}

As I mentioned on my Facebook page the other night, we finally packed up little missy's bottles and got them ready for another sweet little guy. It's a bittersweet time for me as I'll never have a child again who requires feeding by bottle. Letting go of these simple things hurts my mommy heart but it also prepares me for what's to come in this life adventure we call parenthood.

In keeping with these little milestones in Morgan's life, I picked up a princess potty in hopes of the introduction of potty training. I took it out of it's box this afternoon and Missy had a fun time investigating it and even sitting on it for a bit. Fingers crossed that this transition goes smoothly and we have a diaper-less house and a toddler ready for preschool!

Oh and another teeny tiny "girl" milestone. I painted Morgan's fingernails for the first time today! I'm thinking we're going to have girly-girl over here. She's got to asking for lip gloss recently and now nail polish! So sweet!

Even though it's a challenge holding a photo session just for little miss, the outcome is worth it. Hopefully one day, she'll appreciate all the trouble I go to to capture these young irreplaceable years.

Project 365
{365/066}

It's been a dreary week over here this week so my heart completely welcomed the sunshine this afternoon. Little miss walked out to say goodbye to Papa and found this wonderful pocket of sunlight. While I'm most definitely a overcast and rainy type of gal, sometimes you just need a little sunshine.

Before we had kids, Ben and I went to Sharks games all the time. Funny how your priorities change once children enter the picture. However, it's a nice break from the norm when you're offered free suite tickets after not attending a game since 2010. We had a great time and it was an amazing game!

Go Sharks!

After school today, the dude and I just chilled out at home. I worked on a couple crafty projects and Evan watched The Secret World of Arrietty. I love that movie. It's so quiet and peaceful. Perfect for a rambunctious kid when you need a little quiet.
